Check on 'www.telemecanique.com' web site if a Modbus driver is available on Vista. TwidoSuite V2.0 has not been validated on Vista, therefore, running TwidoSuite V2.0 on Vista is not guaranted. ************************************************************************************** REALEASE V1.20 > New Compact Bases TWDLCDA40DRF and TWDLCDE40DRF (24V DC) > New Extreme Base TWDLEDCK1 (IP67) with CANOpen and CANJ1939 > Macros Drive Modbus & CANOpen are available for - ATV71 & ATV61 Speed drives (ATV31 always availables) - LXM05 Servo drives (Only CANOpen) > New Thermocouple analog module available : TWDAMI2LT > New instructions available: - Truncate instruction (Floating Point operations), - Round, ASCII to Integer, Integer to ASCII, ASCII to Float, Float to ASCII > Improvement of Auto Tuning and PID functions - Take into account the PI regulation - Export Trace ************************************************************************************** RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS A) SOFTWARE > PC-compatible computer with - processor Pentium 1.4 GHz or higher recommended - 512 MB of RAM or higher recommended - 300 MB of hard disk space > Operating system : Windows 2000 or Windows XP - Avoid patch 834707-SP1 (corrected by patch 890175) and patch 896358 which cause problems on Help On Line ! - Service Pack 2 or higher recommended. You can download it from www.microsoft.com web site. - This version is NOT compatible with Windows Vista B) FIRMWARE > Update Firmware version of Twido with V 5.00 placed in the Firmware folder > We ask you to STOP any use of the firmware V 4.0 (and only this one) resulting in a > potential safety issue. > All previous firmware versions are available in the same folder For more details refers to the end of this file in the Nota Bene1 and Nota Bene2 section. ************************************************************************************** INSTALLATION > To install TwidoSuite on your computer, it is recommended to have administrator rights on your computer. ************************************************************************************** REGISTRATION > This Software must be registered after a 30 days evaluated period. The registration is free. ************************************************************************************** File Name Limitation > This Version will not allow file names with more than 32 characters ************************************************************************************** Upload from PLC : "application can be seen as different" > TwidoSuite allows to upload and save an application from the PLC. (task : Project -> Open an existing project -> from Controller) > Even created with TwidoSoft, this application can be saved on the computer as a TwidoSuite application > Later, if you connect the PLC that has this application, with the computer that has also this application, you can get the warning message : "The TwidoSuite and the PLC applications are different : immediate connection is impossible." (task : Program -> Debug -> Connect) > This can happen if the application was created with an old version of TwidoSoft (< V3.2). > To fix this, you just need to transfer the application from the PLC to the Controller. > The functionnalities of the application are unchanged. ************************************************************************************** ************************************************************************************** Nota Bene1: TWIDO CONTROLLERS OPERATING SYSTEM INFORMATION This DVD contains the files of TWIDO controllers operating systems for the last and previous available versions These operating systems can be transferred by means of the OS loader, available from the launcher of TWIDOSUITE. In order to obtain the latest product functions it is recommended to transfer the most recent compatible version (latest software version = SV). Be carefull, it is recommended not to transfer a version less than V2.0 on a PLC with a more recent version. The compatibility table below shows the different OS software versions associated with the technology bases of controllers: TABLE: Technology Base Software Versions Compact: TWDLCAA10DRF sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLCAA16DRF sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLCAA24DRF sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLCAA40DRF sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLCAE40DRF sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLCDA40DRF sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLCDE40DRF sv4.20, sv5.0 Modular: TWDLMDA20DUK sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLMDA20DTK sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLMDA20DRT sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLMDA40DUK sv4.20, sv5.0 TWDLMDA40DTK sv4.20, sv5.0 Extreme: TWDLEDCK1 SV3.6 OS file example: The binary file name of the TWDLCAA16DRF SV5.0 controller will be: TWIDO16_V0500P00.TFW; The binary file name of the TWDLMDA40DUK (or TK) SV4.20 controller will be: TWIDO16_V0420P01.TFW. The OS loader allows to choose the (TWIDO) target controller binary file as well as the requested software version. Compatibility is always given in incremental order of the OS index. Reminder: Compatibility information: Hardware: All hardware have similar behavior Version: full compatibility from SV3.00 to SV5.00 ************************************************************************************** Nota Bene2: TWIDOSUITE's FUNCTIONAL LEVELS INFORMATIONS All the versions of TwidoSoft and TwidoSuite are compatible with all OS versions. The functional level synchronise the functionalities available on PLC’s OS version and TwidoSoft/TwidoSuite version. If you use the automatic level “the very lowest”, you define the minimum configuration that matches your needs. If you use the automatic level “the very highest”, you get the most of your controller possibilities. Choosing Manual allows you to select between different levels, when you know precisely what you want : If you use a level 1.0, you can work with any controller OS version. If you use a level 2.0, you need a controller OS version >= 2.0 If you use a level 2.5, you need a controller OS version >= 2.5 If you use a level 3.0, you need a controller OS version >= 3.0 If you use a level 3.2, you need a controller OS version >= 3.2 If you use a level 3.5, you need a controller OS version >= 3.4 If you use a level 4.20, you need a controller OS version >= 4.20 If you use a level 5.00, you need a controller OS version >= 5.0 Remark : If you use a level 3.6 Extreme, you need a controller OS version = 3.6 dedicated to Extreme PLC (and vice versa) Remark : if you want to use a controller OS version N.i, you must Use a functional level <= N.i ! ************************************************************************************** Nota Bene3: GSM SR2 MOD3 Modem : Modbus configuration Only these parameters are OK : Baudrate : 19200 Data Bits : 8(RTU) Parity : None
