High Availability

NOTE: Disabling High Availability is not applicable in a Dell VxRail configuration.

vCenter High Availability (HA) protects vCenter Server against host and hardware failures and helps you significantly reduce downtime. VMware recommends disabling HA when the entire cluster is being shut down. You can specify this using the Disable HA on Shutdown checkbox.

The Disable HA Duration field specifies the duration PowerChute will wait, in seconds, to disable HA on vCenter. The Enable HA Duration field specifies the duration PowerChute will wait to enable HA during the start up sequence. The default value for both of these fields is 20 seconds.
